  • New to Childcare?
    Leaving your child in the care of someone else can be a very overwhelming experience. At Ready Roos, we strive to make the process of enrolling your child engaging and informative, making you and your child feel comfortable and at ease. Building trusting relationships with each of our families is an integral part of our center beliefs.
  • What to expect
    Even after orientation, separation anxiety is completely normal, for both families and children! It is important however, that you remain calm, happy and excited about your child’s first day (even if you have to pretend!). Children will feed off your mood and emotion. Families are welcome to call during the day to check on their children. You can be sure that if your child is not settled, our Center Director will contact you.   • Parent & Community involvement
    At Ready Roos, we have an open door policy. Parents and families are welcome to pop in at any time. Families are encouraged to familiarize themselves with our educational program and our various policies. Our Educators love when families share aspects of their home culture with both staff and children. Sharing your culture enriches our educational program.
  • Items necessary for first day and beyond?
    Most importantly, please ensure that every item belonging to your child with their first and last name. Required Items: Backpack Extra set of clothes (seasonally appropriate) Favorite blanket for quiet time Drink bottle Optional items: Pull-ups, diapers, wipes as needed based on potty-training status Hat (seasonally appropriate) Sunscreen, hand sanitizer, lip balm as preferred
  • Orientation
    During a thorough tour of our center, our Center Director will meet families one-on-one and provide an outline of Ready Roos’ philosophy and processes. Families can ask any questions they may have before the child's enrolment begins. This process is crucial to the beginning of our collaborative relationship.
  • Toys from home?
    There will be occasions built into the program, such as "Show & Tell" when a child can bring a toy or item from home. However, we discourage toys brought in on a regular basis to avoid them being damaged or lost. If absolutely necessary as a comfort item, exceptions can be made. Ready Roos will not be responsible for lost or damaged items.
  • What are the Ready Roos Tuition fees?
    Ready Roos caters for children from 15 months through to 5 years of age. Our fees are the same for each age group and we offer a 5% sibling discount when multiple children are enrolled. A one time application fee for each child is $150.00 Days per week Tuition Fee 2 $179 3 $219 5 $289
  • Are meals provided?
    Snacks and lunch must be sent from home. Please ensure your child's lunchbox, water bottle and snack containers are clearly labeled with first and last name. Ready Roos is a nut free zone - thank you for your understanding. During our instructional hours, there will be a lunch break and two opportunities for snacks (am & pm). If your child is attending for extended am hours, please let us know and ensure you have packed something for that breakfast meal.
  • Why does Ready Roos charge a registration fee?
    With a large number of families seeking placement, managing our application process takes considerable time and effort. Please see Step 3 on the https://www.readyroos.com/hop-in page that explains how we return the registration fee based on your decisions.
  • Am I required to tour the center before applying?
    We highly recommend that all prospective families tour our center prior to applying for admission. Scheduling a tour is quick and easy, just click here. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
  • What is your process for adding a child to your waitlist or to apply for enrollment?
    Please refer to our "Steps to Enrollment" page for specific admission information.
  • At what time of year do enrollments occur?
    Families who are interested in applying to Ready Roos should begin the process as early as possible. We suggest at least one year prior to the desired entry date for their child. We accept waitlisted applications at any time during the year and we begin offering placement in our Toddler and Preschool programs in January for our existing families and February for our waitlisted families with commencement to start in the Fall.
  • Do you have an Open House?
    Yes, our Open House events will be held September 29th, 2023 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and January 26th, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Registration for the September Open House event are now open and January's Open House will open at the start of December 2023. Please email us at director@readyroos.com to advise us of your attendance.
  • What options do you provide for enrollment?
    Ready Roos operates on an annual basis with the year beginning at the start of September and concluding at the end of August. We offer families the following contracted daycare options each week: 2 Days per week - On Tuesday & Thursday 3 Days per week - On Monday, Wednesday & Friday 5 Days per week - On Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday Unfortunately, we are unable to alter enrollment configurations other than those offered above.
  • Does my child have to be potty-trained for admission to your Preschool program?
    Our Preschool program will assist (when necessary) with potty-training at your child's pace - there is no rush to this very important step 🙂, so your child does not need to be potty-trained prior to entering the Preschool program. While there are no guarantees, we expect that children aged 3+ yo will be potty-trained.
  • What are the age requirements for Ready Roos programs?
    Toddlers must be at least 15 months old by August 15th to enroll in our Toddler program. Preschoolers must be 3 years old by August 15th and less than 5 years old by September 15th to enroll in our 3 - 5 year old Preschool program. Unfortunately, we are unable to make any exceptions.
  • Does Ready Roos offer early drop off and late pickup?
    We open at 7:30am and close at 6:30pm. Ready Roos' instructional hours are from 9:00am to 4:00pm each weekday including 1 hour for lunch. The hours of 7:30 - 9:00am and 4:00 - 6:30pm are considered as "Extended Hours" which may be utilized by parents with children enrolled in our instructional hours, at no additional charge. The use of "Extended Hours" applies only on the days a child is enrolled in. We ask parents to indicate their extended care needs at time of enrollment.
  • Does Ready Roos pickup or drop off at neighboring schools?
    At this time, Ready Roos does not offer pickup or dropoff services, however this may be a service offered in the future.
  • Is there a fee for late child pick up in the evenings?
    Yes, there is a $25 charge per 15 minutes or part thereof. This late charge will be automatically added to parent's accounts. If you believe you'll be late, as a courtesy, please call us on 724-591-8882 to advise your arrival.
